arrived early Monday morning, 8 of them. They immediately jumped all over the Stupa and began work. Meanwhile the sandblasters finished up their work. Ron, had an accident that later required 9 stitches. The sandblasting crew took lots of the accumulated sand off of the driveways and put two truck loads of gravel around the stupa and in the driveway. The stucco workers began work at the top– fearlessly, sometimes almost dangling.
The sandblasters bring in a machine that will allow Ron to work up high enough to aim the pressurized sand downwards from the top and so keep the gold bhumi rings protected. Towards the end of Friday, he finishes as much as he can do with the hose. The protective black plastic comes off, the bedspread falls down to the ground. One more day of hand work and then the sandblasters will take their equipment away. Already the next crew, the stucco workers from Taos have arrived. Throughout the work, people continue to pray at the Stupa.
