We have news from our directors from 2013-14, Kelly and Sergey Noskov, who are now in a nice village just outside of Ulan Ude, Buryatia, Russia. They are buying a house which you can see here.
Kelly says:
If you click on “street view” you should be looking right at the house we plan to buy and can get a sense of the area. The mountain behind the house is considered a sacred mountain and has a stupa which is nice. As far a monasteries go – Buryatia is pretty much a Buddhist culture (kind of like Japan) and there are temples everywhere. You can just be driving down the road and see a temple where normally a house would be. It’s like Crestone except obviously larger and much more ancient with tons of holy places to visit. Lots of shamanic places too!
